WhatsApp recently added some smart features to their updates
that some people have not yet known. The ones we are familiar with include; the
new Snapchat status feature, the privilege of sending document files, etc.
You might want to check out some of our articles on how to save WhatsApp status pictures and videos or effective ways businesses and entrepreneurs can makeuse of WhatsApp.
There is this particular feature that we are not aware of
that I found out on their recent update and this feature is: “knowing the
number of persons that have read your post in a group” and “the number of
people that a WhatsApp group message has been delivered to”.
This is very
important in that some people might claim not to see the update you wrote on a
WhatsApp group simply because they don’t want to be guilty of anything.
Let us look at this scenario; as a secretary of a firm, you
send a message on your official WhatsApp group that requires everyone to be
present at a meeting at a particular time. Someone or some people might
willingly refuse to attend with the excuse that they didn’t see the notice.
With this feature, you can simply know if they actually saw
the message or not. If the person came online within the said time, you can
easily find out if a message written in the group was delivered to him or her.
How to check if a group participant has read a message you posted on a WhatsApp group
To start, I assume that you already have WhatsApp messenger
installed on your android device and have also written a message on the WhatsApp
group as seen in the picture below:
This assumed, follow the steps below:
>> Select the sent message by simply tapping and
holding it for a while. The picture below shows the resulting screen when the
message is selected:
>> On the top right of the screen, you will see some
options. Select the option that looks
like a circle with the small letter “i” written inside it. If you are confused,
just see the image above and select the third option counting from your left.
>> Once clicked, the phone numbers of people that have
read the message and the phone numbers of people that the message has been
delivered to. The image below shows a typical result:
