Minimize mobile internet data consumption on your android smartphone

Introduction:
I've received so many complains from friends concerning the rate of data consumption by their android smartphone. Anyways, android manufacturers are not oblivious of that fact and so, they included some functions to help curtail data consumption excesses.

To reduce the rate of data consumption, do the following:
1. Restrict background data: Restricting background data simply, means stopping apps from connecting to internet unless you open them. This means that, only apps that you open will consume data. To restrict background data, go to settings>>data usage, then tap the left button of your device and tick restrict background data. A pop-up box will appear, telling you something about the process, just click ok and that's all. Restricting background data, automatically limits background processes that connect to the internet,disables automatic app update by playstore because it can't operate when background data is restricted, etc.

2. Off your data when not in use.
3. By enabling the 'text only 'feature of most mobile browsers. Images no doubt sucks data , therefore enabling this feature will save much data.
